Emmy Inspirations for Prom Dress Trends

We are sure everyone had their favorite celebrity designer dresses while watching the 2012 Emmy's!  These award shows are a great place to get inspiration for your choice of prom dress or a dress for any special occasion.  Here are a few styles and trends that we thought were hot on the red carpet that night, and will be seen trending for Prom 2013. 

Allison Williams from Girls looked fabulous in this green Oscar de la Renta "crumb catcher" style dress, but you don't have to break the bank to have that same look!  Turn to designer prom dresses like Clarisse pictured above for $280!  Of if you have a little more cash to burn, turn to  Tony Bowls, who has been seen numerously on the Red Carpet but still offers affordable choices.  

Maria Menounos, from Dancing With the Stars showed off her sexy style in a beautiful sweetheart neckline, flowing skirt and side slit.  Designers like Prima Donna and Gigi by La Femme offer these style dresses for a fraction of the cost!

We have to say that Kelly Osbourne was wearing a favorite of ours.  Classy, one shoulder, lilac gown by Zac Posen.  Alyce Designs and Evenings by Allure creates styles like this that we think make stunning prom dresses.

2012 La Femme: Fashions for Evening, Prom & Homecoming!

    When chart topping celebrity Carrie Underwood took the CMT music awards by storm - she did it wearing a La Femme Designer Dress! The sexy sequin mini dress shined under the hot lights of the stage and the perfect warm earth toned color made this blond bombshell really stand out! You'll find for the new season of La Femme Evenings this neutrally flattering color scheme is all over.

Both of these stunning formal dresses are shown in the "nude" color which is very much leading vanguard in this spring 2013 prom fashion. Its a universally flattering tone that brings out the warmth in a tan as well as a classic old Hollywood glamor to the paler shades.

La Femme's cocktail division is also a great display of a range of trends this season. We are seeing styles from the sexy form fitted bodycon dresses to faux-feathers and flowing chiffon a-line skirts! TonyBowls Evenings Fall2012: Pageant-Prom-Parties!

    Renown star prom designer, Tony Bowls' Fall 2012 collection covers the classics and time told favorites such as style TBE2129 with it's Hellenistic draped bodice and single crystal trimmed shoulder strap while opening doors to more eye catching new designs such as TBE21268.We see a showcase of bold unapologetic prints in abstract applications that are sure to be a front runner for prom & pageant favorites this year!


 

    Expect to see powerfully elegant displays of mulch-colored embroidery stitched in swirling floral shapes and a heavy dash of crystal embellishments on the non printed garments. Many of these feature asymmetrical design elements that give the more "simple", dresses a flare of eccentricity. While many of the Evening Collection's garments have a breath of youthful appeal - that is certainly not to say that they can not be worn for a more mature venue.

    TBE21262 (left) features a sweeping lace applique that wraps across the ruched bodice in a very form flattering manner. This would be wonderfully suitable for an engagement party, 2nd wedding or even a red carpet affair. To the right is style TBE21270 which features a modest semi sheer chiffon wrap that drapes across the sparkling net dress beneath. It is a demure style that can be very age appropriate while still managing a highly fashionable front!
