House of Wu Tiffany Presentation Ball Gowns

On the topic of pageants, the fall 2012 lines of glitz pageant wear have been making their way into Magic Moments Prom over the past few weeks and we are excited to show off The House of Wu's Tiffany Presentation wear. The line is comprised of a wide range vibrant colors with sweet heart busts, corset backs and tons of interesting textures! Many of the design houses we carry choose to headline their collections with themes but you will find Tiffany Presentation chooses to offer a wide range of styles to suit a Sweet 16 or Quinceanera.

Princess Pretty PINK!

Girlie pink sweet 16 ballgown dresses to fit a classic sweet 16 barbie girl theme.

Pink is such a perfect color! It has represented innocence, femininity and friendship to the classic family values that go hand in hand with a formal quincenera while also speaking to the " Girls just want to have fun " vibe many sweet 16's are riding. Many of the House of Wu's Tiffany Presentation gown's come in a pink or coral shade but style 16889 is shown in just that shade to realy show off its flower like quality. Airy and delicate petals of organza fabric spill down the full circle skirt to the floor and is matched with a fitted bodice covered in dew dotted crystal shimmer! With the right accessories and venue it it definitely manages to be fresh and definitely chic!

Tiffany : Blue & Teal.

Perhaps pink isnt your thing. It can be a very traditional girlie girl color so why not go blue? Its not just for boys! In fact a vibrant iridescent teal color has become very popular in recent seasons as the multitoned chiffon fabric captures a secondary color that not only makes it easier to match for the rest of your party/outfit but also gives an extra level of interest that just makes these designs POP! Style 16898 would be a great style for an Under the Sea themed party with the way the spiraling ruffles spill down the skirt.

Abandoning the prior styles all together - this Tiffany Presentation dress 16871 stands out with it's abstract printed bodice. If your going with a more elegant and old hollywood glamouris theme, try this black and white formal ballgown. Graphic prints are storming this season's hottest runways but can often be overwhelming. Seeing style 16871 have it's print in black and white gives it a more toned down effect without losing its trend value.

Silver Screen Dollie.

Studio 17 : Flirtatious hi-low & convertible styles.

Flirtatious and imaginative hi-low and convertible styles are the flagship of design in this Fall 2012 season of prom, pageant and banquet dresses by House of Wu's Studio 17 line! Bold unapologetic splashes of color such as fuchsia, cobalt, orange and indigo are the prominent scheme throughout.

The fishtail cut became popular in early Victorian era and over the years it has re-emerged as a popular way to show a little leg!  Of course, since then the length has greatly changed. The waterfall skirts shown throughout this fall 2012 collection come to a mini length and sweep the floor in the back. Some of these are also done in a wrap method and made from semi-sheer luminous fabrics.

Are they flattering? Heck yeah! Part of the reason this runway style has made the transition to ready to wear garments is because of this. The combination of mini & maxi dress is a great way to show off your legs as well as utilize some fierce color blocking to flatter a more curvacious shape. The style is fairly convenient as well. You are given the freedom of motion on the dance floor that a short cocktail dress would offer without sacrificing the sophistication of a classically floor length prom dress.

(left) House of Wu style# 12320 is a heavily sequin embelished cocktail dress with a jewel trimmed sweet heart neckline. These same crystals can be seen dotting the edge of the detachable floor length skirt.
To the right is a more classic take on the mullet skirt with gentle satin fabric flowing in a demure silhouette to the ground.

Top style resources such as style.com,Harper's BAZAAR & ELLE are all screaming there are several themes your going to want to keep an eye on.

Tory Burch sweep across the runway with creme and pastel floral prints to contrast Marc Jacobs' & Rodarte's bold contrasting plaids. One way or another - Prints are back! Dont be afraid to mix the prints either.

Riding the print love is this European opulence and baroque feel that was set by Dolce & Gabbana with lavish rococo inspired fabrics and ornate intricate details.Oscar de la Renta swept everyone off their feet with their black flocked accents while Marchesa's similar style was carried out with a more subdued earthy tone.

Contrasting the sweetness seen in a lot of these collections a darker style is taking spotlight! Minimalistic lines accented in leather, lace, faux feathers and draped sheer chiffon were seen in designer collections such as Jason Wu, Rag & Bone & Alexander Wang.Wine red lipstains and clean faces were paired off with the rock and roll chick outfits.

House of Wu: Glitz Pageant dresses by Tiffany Princess!

So you've decided to enter your little girl into a pageant? Entering into a Pageant can be a wonderful experience for your child! It cultivates self confidence, social grace, public speaking skills and all the other skills young women often attend finishing school for! There are two types of beauty pageants for children. Beauty contests are often the focus of natural and organic appearance while Glitz presentations focus on high caliber glamour. From her hair style, makeup, gown to toes she is judged against the other girls. It can be a bit intimidating to try and stand out against such a crowd but with stunning dresses like the House of Wu's Tiffany Princess line its sure to be a breeze! When choosing a gown for your little girl consider the entire picture she makes, not just focusing on one element. It is always wise to choose a color dress that complements your little angel's complexion upose to choosing souly on what her favorite color is.

Here is a quick tip to identify your daughter's skintone:
Take a piece of yellow fabric ( a shirt or towel works fine!) to her face. A person with warm-toned skin will see that the color brightens the complexion, minimizes shadows, and gives a healthier look. A cool-toned complexion would see the exact opposite effect with the same fabric. It draws the vibrancy out and seems almost sickly at times! If you think you may be a cool, attempt a blue fabric next. It should give you the same healthy glow a warm would notice with the yellow.
If your little girl has a warm skin tone, have her try on some
earthy colors like red, orange, yellow or pink!

If she falls to the other side of the spectrum,
try some of these pretty cool toned dresses in purple, blue and green!

The Tiffany Princess line from House of Wu is created to compliment the developing figure of a child. Keeping this in mind they produce age-appropriate designs that catch the eye with full poofy petticoats, sparkling sequins, adorable faux flowers and much more! The cuts of these pageant gowns are tailored with comfort also in mind. No one wants to send their little girl onto a stage with a irritated neckline or scratchy fabric!

Your daughter will be radiant as she stands proudly on stage in one of these Tiffany Princess ( so appropriately named! ) pageant girl dresses! She will be sure to enjoy not only the crown but the entire fairytale experience!
