The Mature Woman Wants a More Sexy Sophisticated Dress Style
The look of the mother has changed dramatically over the years. Women today are trying to stay younger looking all the time. The mom’s now in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s go to the gym, tan, maintain longer hair styles, have long painted nails, and wear sexy clothes with high heals. Magic Moments, a specialty dress store located in Long Island NY, helps women dress their best for their special night out. More women come in asking for a sexier younger look and say they do not want that “old traditional mother look”, as they call it.
The mature woman is not looking for “trampy” styles, just sexy sophisticated. They definitely want to show off more leg, but prefer to keep the midsection more covered. Designers like Jovani and Tony Bowls offer up to date styles for these modern women.
Materials such as ruching offer better coverage for that midsection. Even though the modern woman goes to the gym, we all know that creating that perfect figure is a lot harder to maintain at the older ages. The ruching offers to smooth out those areas of imperfection, giving women a better defined waistline.
Don’t be afraid of color. Black was always the number one choice of a cocktail dress, and always a slimming color, but the modern woman wants to stand out more. Choose colors that compliment skin and hair color to create a natural glow. Jackets and shawls tend to create an older look, so Magic Moments suggests a one shoulder, or capelet style shoulder for a more stylish look.
Panty hose are out and tans spray tans or even spray on panty hose is in. Legs need to be tone, tan, and smooth. Having that clean pedicure look of a French Manicure also adds to a younger style trend, as do the shoes with a high sexy heal, and plenty of bling. Speaking of bling, don’t forget the accessories. Long dazzling earrings and bracelets adorning those tone arms will really finish off the look.
There are many celebrity “hot moms” out there. No matter the age, women can always look their best, with hard work. Women need to take time for themselves, to take care of their health and looks. Celebrity mom’s in their 30’s that make great role models include Brook Burke and Vanessa Marcil. Mom’s that don’t look like they are in their 40’s are Cindy Crawford, Elle MacPherson and Courtney Cox-Arquette. 50 is the new 30 with stars like Kim Basinger and Rene Russo. These mothers regardless of age show us it is possible to stay young and sexy looking. Magic Moments offers great solutions to help you dress sexy and sophisticated on your special night out.

It's all about the shoes!
No matter if it's prom, wedding, or just a night out dancing; the shoes make the outfit. Magic Moments, retailer of the best designer dresses, offers their insight as to what's seen on the red carpet. The shoe fashion trend right now is the platform supper high 5+ inch heal. What a great work out for those calf muscles! Admittedly these shoes are hot and sexy, but how long can you really dance in them? It's all about the look. Celebrities make big statements when pairing their shoes with their outfit. They will wear a beautiful print silk dress and pair it with a super sexy stiletto high-rise platform pump in an electric hue of color! Bam! The eye's go right down to the heels. A lot of celebrity women are seen on talk shows with a cute basic dress or skirt, and big black platform pumps. It almost seems the host of these shows, may have a stock of these pumps in the back for the guests? No, but seriously, the trend right now for heels are to be super high. Peek-a-boo toes always have a sexy look to them and are definitely in. Shoes with architectural design are hot, as well as strappy stilettos with rhinestones. Heels with flower t-straps are cute, where the heels with cross straps have a harder look to them. Rhinestones always dress up the heel, and block and chunky heels tend to be more casual looking.
No matter what the style, or color, just make sure the heel is super high. Oh, and practice walking in them before the big night. ;)

Magic Moments Breaks Down the Latest Bridesmaid Dress Fashion Trends and Season Colors
A woman’s wedding day is an important milestone in her life. It is also the time she welcomes her closest friends and family to be a part of her wondrous day. Deciding what style and color bridesmaid dresses can be an unenviable task because styles and trends change from year to year. Magic Moments is here to break down what the current trends are.
Short bridesmaid dress styles seem to be all the rage because of their versatility. Designers, like Purely Alfred Angelo, Affairs by Mori Lee, and Expressions by Forever Yours, are making bridesmaid dresses feel more like sophisticated evening wear. Magnificent fabrics and colors make these dresses perfect for any special occasion. Bridesmaid dresses are also acquired for wedding guest dresses, engagement dresses, Quinceaneara court dresses, dresses for socials and formals.
As far as color, choose a color trend of the season. Spring brings colors of light pink, green and aqua blue. The summer offers bright yellows, oranges, hot pinks, fuchsia, and purple hues. Falling of leaves, in the fall, prompt the colors of chocolate brown, burnt orange, mocha, hunter green and gold. If the wedding is in the winter, you will notice silver, white, black, red, ice blue and royal purple are preferred colors of the holiday months and New Year.
Last, but not least, is the formal footwear. Some brides still desire to have the shoes match the dress, but the new trend for shoes are Metals. Silver and gold are the two most popular color choices and can be worn again and again. The bridesmaid can choose the size heel most comfortable to her, yet match the metallic shoe color of the bridal party.
Bridesmaids no longer need to wear matching dresses. The new trend is coordinating the looks of the dresses. There are many designers like Alfred Angelo, Forever Yours, Bari Jay, Mori Lee, Bill Levkoff and Bella Formals that offer different styles in a multitude of colors to choose from. Whether the bride desires a short or long dress for her bridesmaids, she can choose different styles such as halter straps, spaghetti straps, tank straps, and even strapless! Have the bridesmaid decide which style suits her body best, and then let the bride pick out the color. Another trend becoming popular is the “color run” That means each bridesmaid wears a different color of the same dress. This is a pretty trend for spring and summer.

With watching the economy struggle the past few years, it is nice to see the fashion industry take into consideration what consumers want. The bridesmaid trends have evolved to styles that are beautiful yet timeless. Many styles can be worn more that once, yet give the Bride the formal look she craves.
If you are looking for a great selection of dresses, whether it’s a bridesmaid dress, mother of the bride/groom dress, flower girl dress, or social occasion dress, Magic Moments Collections will help you make your special day one to remember.

Prom Trends 2011-ROMANCE IS BACK!!!
Every girl falls in love with her Prom dress and the 2011 Prom dress will be all about the romance. This year’s Prom dress trends will feature romantic looks from traditional ball gowns with floral prints and tulle overlay, to ribbon rosettes. This very couture look requires lots of fabric to construct, but it screams romance, romance, romance! Jovani, Blush, Morrell Maxie and others have embraced this look in their spring 2011 lines. For traditional Ball Gowns, Mori Lee, House of Wu, and Forever Yours, are very much in fashion and are great with their full, pouffy skirts.
Hi-low hemlines with attached and detachable trains are another popular look for prom dresses in 2011. Sparkle, Mori Lee, and La Femme offer a fabulous line of these styles. Many will feature those romantic rosettes and removable shoulder straps as well as the removable trains to accommodate different looks and moods.
You can also expect to see taffeta with lots of ruching and pleating on the bodice and skirt giving the dress a sexy mermaid look that is flattering on anyone. Designers like Mori Lee, Bella Formals, Flaunt and Night Moves offer these styles. Lots of tiered, ruffled skirts also have that romance look. Draping Grecian Styles with one shoulder and flowing skirts have a romantic side too, and Sydney’s Closet, Evenings by Allure, and Night Moves have just that.
You can count on fun and sexy to remain ever-present when it comes to prom dresses. Side cut-outs are remaining popular choices for prom as well as beaded sequined, sparkly gowns. Sparkle and bling will definitely be part of the romance.
As for colors, purple will bring the passion to the romance of the 2011 prom. Passionate purple will bring its cousin, blue, to the prom as well. Turquoise is still very much loved, and a favorite of spring 2011, as well as white, and pink will remain a sweet romantic choice. Floral prints, geometric patterns, and embroidered peacock designs are an impressive choice for someone who is not afraid to show their bold side. Tiffany, Panoply, and Tony Bowls have a considerable selection of these styles to choose from.
Magic Moments has seen styles and trends come and go over the years, but the romantic look is here to stay. Sexy, sophisticated, and romantic are looks that are beloved all over the world, and are perfect for any special occasion, not just prom. We have a large selection of all these styles, and will help you find your romantic look. Make your Prom, one to treasure for years to come. Shop now at http://www.magicmomentsprom.com/
